Bromley Vs Hanham Athletic – 13/12/09

Half way through the season now and still unbeaten, we knew these guys the same as everyone that we play now are out to beat us and up there game and to begin with Hanham did very much up their game from the first game we played against them at the beginning of the season. It was sticky conditions for everyone but once again the boys played some EXCELLENT football, passed, passed and passed we seem to have it down to a tee now and have not seen a team in our division that can do it anywhere near as good as our boys.
By half time we were 2. 0 up. I have to give credit to the Hanham keeper as in the first half alone I would say we had over 15 shots on target! We had a talk at half time and the lads said that they would strike to ball harder and send it away from the keeper, that’s what they did and managed to plug another 6 in the back of the net! End of first game 8.0 up – Well done all of you.
Second game the boys were well up for it and still on a high from beating BROADWALK  last week ( the only other unbeaten side by the way, until last week when we beat them 5 – 1 !!!)  I said the same to these boys as I did the first game and out they went and played yet again some brilliant passing football and scored some brilliant goals to finish yet another great morning of football to finish their game 12.0.

Some high goal scorers today, Luke Davies 5, Joe Hyett  5, Jon Fry 5, further goals from Jake Haile, Masson Davies, Harry Withers, Josh Hale and Zack Marshal.
Bromley Heath 20 – Hanham Athletic 0

Well boys, you so far are having an amazing season, as from today we are the only team in the Hanham Minor League U10s ( all 4 divisions ) TO BE UNBEATEN, We have the highest goals scored in the whole league too with 88 Goals scored in 7 games , plus a further 24 scored in the away walk over ! 112 goals in 7 games, that’s a great record boys, keep it up.

Still along way to go boys SO YOU MUST KEEP THE HARD WORK UP.

28th March 2010 Bristol Central U10s V Bromley Heath United U10s

We knew playing Bristol Central was not going to be easy as looking at their recent results this team has come on leaps and bounds, but can I say what a brilliant game it was to watch. This was a big game for Bromley as by winning this we would be Guaranteed Champions of the Hanham Minor League D division!

The first of the 2 games got underway with both sides in high spirits, both teams were trying to play their best football they could play on what was a difficult sticky surface. Then midway through the first half after both sides had played some great football Bromley put together a 4 man pass and move which ended with an excellent first time finish from Masson Davies in the top right corner. From that moment on Bromley Heath started to put together some fantastic passing, flowing football with some excellent strikes but however Bristol Centrals Goal keeper denied Bromley of many goals as his performance was fantastic throughout. Bromley’s second goal came from a free kick 15 yards away from goal. Joe Hyett placed the ball for the free kick and drove it hard and low through a sea of bodies to end up in the back of the net.

In the second half as in the first some great football was played from both teams and both keepers played out of their skins which kept down what could have been a very high scoring game. The 3 rd goal game from a very long pass from defender Bradley Coombes over the top to Masson Davies who turned and finished under pressure with a great goal. To sum the first game up some great football played by all with Bromley more than deserving their 3 goal victory from what was probably the best passing game of the season.

The second game was a lot tighter game with not as many chances for either side again some great passing football from Bromley and defensive play from Central. First goal was scored by Luke Davies Bromley Striker after a great cross from the left midfield player Josh Hale. Then not long into the second half Central equalised as they broke the strong Bromley defence. Bromley reacted quickly to pull back their lead with a ball crossed over to Billy Nuttal who took a great touch and finished well. Then yet again all credit to Bristol Central they picked up and returned the goal to once again become level pegging. All in all two fantastic games against a very much improved Bristol Central, great credit to them and their management.

Overall Score Bristol Central 2 , Bromley Heath 5 – Man Of The Match – Joe Hyett

So yet another victory for an unbeaten Bromley Heath and well deserved Champions with 17 games played and 182 league goals scored with only 21 goals scored against. The only Team in the whole of Hanham Minor League U10s to remain unbeaten throughout the season.
