Bromley B's first ever game produced a fine win against Fry's. 2 goals from Matt Kirby and 1 from Jacko sealed the points. Well done lads.
Final score 3-2 to Bromley Heath Utd 'B'

Bromley Heath U13(B) 1 Almondsbury Juniors 2

Although the scoreline was a bit unkind, the performance was much encouraging. It was defiantly a game of missed chances. The first 10-15 mins we camped in Almondsburys half and had numerous chances to get on the scoresheet. Unfortunately we didnt use that dominance and later it came back to bite us. I'm sure if we'd of put some of the chances away the oppositions heads would have dropped and the final score would have been totally different. Slowly but surely Almondsbury awoke and started to play some nice football, and it was their turn to dominate proceedings and soon found themselves a goal to the good.
Second half we started reseasonably well but time after time didnt clear our lines and were fortunate not to more than the solitary goal behind due to some good goalkeeping. However, the lads refused to give up and we got back in it with a good goal from Sam Ashby at the far post. However, as they say 'you're at your most vunerable after scoring', this was defiantely the case, within a minute we found ourselves behind again. Again heads didnt go down and we may well of snatched a point late on but we missed some good chances.
On the whole it was an encouraging performance and considering the team hasnt had much time to gel, there are many positives to take away. There's a lot more too come from this team and with more training and match time will see us climb the league.

Thanks to all those parents who helped out with setting up, runnning the line and collecting subs

Bromley Heath U13B 1 Ashton Boys 2
This was a defiantly a game of two halves.
First half we gave the opposition far to much time and space and time after time lost our shape. This we were made to pay for and it wasnt that long before Ashton put the ball in the net. To be fair to the opposition they did a good job at the back and never gave Matty and Jacko any time on the ball and held their line very well. Unfortunately we gave the ball away far to cheaply and could of been more than one goal down at halftime.
Second half however we really made a game of it and upped the tempo closing the opposition down quickly, tracking back and making it hard for them to play. However, probably against the run of play they got a 2nd, but the lads didnt let their heads drop and it wasnt long before we scored, thanks to a good finish from Matty Kirby. It was Matty again that hit a great shot only to have it hit the upright and bounce back out!
If only we'd of started the game at the same tempo as the 2nd half this match may well have been so different.
Again its back to the training ground on Wednesday to improve our touch and vision, which at times let us down today. I'm sure the next 3 points is just around the corner.

Again thanks to those that helped out setting up and if anyone that owns a dog would care to be the nominated dog pooper scooper it would be much appreciated as i certainly didnt sign up for that job!
