Bromley Heath play at Pomphrey Hill, Emersons Green and is run by a Committee elected at the AGM. The Committee meets at 8pm on every first Sunday in the month; this is attended by all managers The Management Committee is made up of a Chairman , Vice Chairman , Secretary, Treasurer and Child Protection Officer. Some of these positions are held by managers or ex-managers while 2 of the positions are held by mothers of children who play for the club which hopefully helps to provide a certain balance within the committee . The club are very proud of their roots and take great care when people become involved. All managers are vetted before being allowed to assist with running of the teams & the club is also protected by comprehensive insurance. This year the club has achieved Charter Standard Club Status of which it is very proud & all the teams have managers / assistant managers who have attained at least their level 1 coaching certificate.
The structure of the club can be summarised as follows:
U7 - concentration on learning ball skills and the rules of the game - boys and girls
U8 - learning more skills and introduction to seven-a-side friendly matches on small pitches - boys and girls
U9 - continuing to learn more skills and developing seven-a-side skills in friendly matches on small pitches - boys and girls
U10 - perfecting old skills, learning new more advanced skills and introduction to tactics; playing seven-a-side competitive league matches in Hanham Minor League (Sunday mornings).

Various Cup Competitions are also entered into throughout the season.
The weekly training take place within the Downend, Staple Hill and Kingswood area with home matches being played at our new home on the Emersons Green Side of the Pomphrey Hill Community Sports Association facilities. Throughout our history we have had players who have played at the club and moved on to a higher standard of football.
Although the club raises as much money as possible from within, we could not continue without the help and financial support of local businesses and organisations. We are particularly indebted to all our sponsors, please visit our Sponsors page for a full list of sponsors, and support them where possible.
The Club also raises money from the parents of the young players through collection of subscriptions throughout the season and also through fund raising events such Skittles evenings, raffles, 6 a-side Tournament, etc.
Anybody interested in joining Bromley Heath in any capacity - player or coach/manager - please contact any of the committee (see the Committee page for contact details). |
