Bromley Heath Utd Under 13s  1 V  BCJS Club 7

A tough first game against a very good Bristol City side. This was the first  game for a few of our new players with Bromley Heath and everyone played with  enthusiam and all worked extremely hard. Curtis Mckenzie put in a Man of the match performance with an outstanding display in mid field and the scorer of Bromleys goal.

St Nicholas 10 V Bromley Heath Utd 3

A tale of two halves. the first half was fantastic, we competed well, played good football and I truly believed we would go on to win the game. We  were 3 - 2 down at half time. The second half was a different affair, we let St Nicholas get ahead and went on to win 10 - 3. Despite the score George Farmer (Man of the Match) was outstanding in goal.

Sunday 28th september 2008
Bradley Stoke Utd 3 V Bromley Heath Utd 5
Under 13s Cup match

A determined first half performance enabled Bromley Heath to be 3 - 1 up at half time. Although Bradley Stoke got two goals back in the second half there was only ever going to be one winner as we bagged a further two goals to record a well deserved 5 - 3 victory. Well done boys.

Goal scorers: Adam Dyer 2 (Man of the Match), Curtis Mackenzie 1, Harrison Spearey 1, Max McInerney 1.

Match report Bromley Heath v Nicholas Wanderers      01/03/09

Final Score 1 – 2

With a back to back fixture Nicholas Wanderers may well have come along expecting an easy ride after the lack lustre performance of the Bromley Heath boys last week. How wrong could they be? Obviously all the boys had 3 Shredded Wheat for breakfast this week & came out fighting from the start.

Nicholas Wanderers went 1-0 up after about 10 minutes with a well taken goal from Billy Harvey but instead of lying down & letting them forge ahead as they had last week the Bromley boys got stuck in. The defence were getting their tackles in & not allowing the Wanderers forwards to have the free run of last week & it wasn’t long before a pass into the box from Mike found Tommy Brain in the box & who was able to slot the ball past the Wanderers keeper. Nicholas Wanderers kept the pressure on & were able to score a second goal about 20 minutes into the game. 1-2 at half time.

The second half saw both sides with chances & Wanderer’s hit the cross bar while Bromley found numerous ways through the Wanderers defence especially with Joe & Antony up front but their keeper stood firm. Lots of midfield action from both teams in this hard fought game but Bromley were just unable to find that finishing touch for an equaliser & the score remained at 1-2.

Kris, the Bromley manager, had a team to be proud of this week after the frustrations of last week & if the boys stick together & keep playing like this then anything could happen. Re-building a team is never easy but Bromley Heath U.13’s have been through this & are now definitely coming out the other side with a positive outlook & playing for each other & their manager.
